SPUG: Perl 5.6 and Unicode

I have been digging around on the perl.com site looking for some 
documentation on the Unicode support in 5.6 without much luck.  I have also 
tried the perldoc route, but must be using all the wrong key words.  Could 
any of you point me in the right direction?
