Following on, the name Southampton Perl Mongers is not necessarily very appropriate any more - what are the thoughts about renaming to "Hampshire Perl Mongers"? As tomorrow is the 4th Tuesday, it is the day for our Social! I propose Wave Maiden pub as the place for the social: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3208431358 Hope to see you there. Do you have any other suggestions about the nature of this group, what, and what/how we do it? Anton -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... If we want to allow more members then we need to pay up! $23.99 a month, or $16.49 a month if you buy a 6 month block. In fact this mail is perfectly timed I?ve just checked and the subscription is due to renew in 4 days time. I?ve paid for it for the past three six month blocks, April 2018, October 2018, and April 2019, but as we?re moving out of Southampton and handing over to Vytas I?ll let someone else pay this time :-) Unfortunately I can?t make it yet again tomorrow, hopefully next month! > On 21 Oct 2019, at 18:20, Anton Oussik wrote: > > I like Solent Perl Mongers. > > On Mon, 21 Oct 2019 at 18:05, Imran Chaudhry > wrote: > How about Solent Perl Mongers to cover Southampton/Portsmouth metro area? > > I'll try to attend tomorrow but who else is planning to go? > > On Mon, 21 Oct 2019 at 17:35, James Raspass > wrote: > > > > From the PoV of fleet.pm.org I'd rather you didn't steal the name of > > our shared county :-P > > > > James Raspass > > > > On Mon, 21 Oct 2019 at 17:28, Anton Oussik > wrote: > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > Since I now spend many months of the year not in UK, and also live in Portsmouth, I would like to make the following changes to Southampton PM: > > > > > > * Move socials to Portsmouth - most people who still turn up either live in or near Portsmouth these days. > > > * Move socials to 4th Tuesday of every month - Tuesday is a day with fewer clashes. > > > * Hand over running of Southampton PM to Vytas, who has been doing most of the work already as it is, and spends more time in Hampshire than I do. > > > > > > Following on, the name Southampton Perl Mongers is not necessarily very appropriate any more - what are the thoughts about renaming to "Hampshire Perl Mongers"? > > > > > > As tomorrow is the 4th Tuesday, it is the day for our Social!
