Dunno.  I can go either way on this.  At the very least you've
got to name the metric something that makes sure it doesn't
misused, ala bogomips and kwalitee.  Pseudo-buzz?  Ytiralupop?
Curbstone?

When you get to the point where gaming the system can make or break
carreers, it isn't paranoia to assume that that's going to happen.
