A growing company in Carlsbad, CA is looking for a Perl or PHP Developer
for a permanent hire opportunity…
We are looking for a Unix System Developer (Perl) to join our growing
team. It is an exciting time for our company as the atmosphere has a
start-up type feel with the security of larger companies, since we’ve
already secured significant funding and defined a place in our industry.
Our team is small and this is an opportunity to contribute in a big way to
our platform. We have a lot of interesting technologies that we work with.
This position requires:
- excellent software design and coding skills
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of software development
- Play a key role in supporting and developing the product of a growing
company
- Build high quality software
- Collaborate with other developers, QA, technical operations and product
management
- Create and maintain technical documentation
About you
- Passion for software development and learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and proactive
- Has project enthusiasm and willingness to do what it takes to get the job
done
Required skills
- 3+ years of Unix/PERL development experience
- 3+ years of backend application development
- Good knowledge of basic Unix/Linux Administration
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with web front end development
- Experience with MongoDB
- PHP and SQL experience (MySQL preferred)
- Experience with Agile and DevOps
- knowledge of DNS
