Position:Development Lead, Consumer
Hiring Manager: Mark Yturralde
Reports to: Mark Yturralde
Location: San Diego, CA
Travel: 10% travel to Herndon location

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Development Lead for our consumer product,
Anonymizer Universal, and related consumer products. This position
will encompass setting overall technical direction for Anonymizer's
consumer products, leading a small development team as well as hands
on development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Senior Management, Marketing and Sales to develop future
features for the Anonymizer product lines.
Work with stakeholders to develop road maps, tasking, and feature sets.
Design, maintain and develop the purchasing and billing infrastructure
for Anonymizer, including the Anonymizer shopping cart.
Design, maintain and develop the backend infrastructure for the
Anonymizer Universal product.
Work with the production team to deploy changes and new feature sets
for the Anonymizer products and support systems.
Requirements:
5-10 years Software development experience
Working knowledge of a variety of programming languages such as: Perl,
Ruby, Java, C, C++, SQL
Working knowledge of design techniques such as: Functional, Object
orient, Aspects, MVC, and test driven development
3+ years leading a software development team
Experience analyzing options and recommending design tradeoffs, as
well as communicating these tradeoffs to Senior Management
Current experience building REST or other Web Services
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and tools
Current experience building REST or other Web Services
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and tools
Experience using NoSQL databases, and when they should and should not be used.
Relational database skills including design and optimization
Nice to Haves:
Experience with Atlassian development tools
Familiarity with GIT and GitHub
Experience with clustered infrastructure including: distributed cache
such as memcached, messaging buses (such as Rabbit MQ)
Understanding of network technologies (proxies, firewalls, TCP, and UDP)
Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, Javascript,
HTML, CSS, and JSON)
Experience in Agile methods like Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP),
and Agile practices like Continuous Integration
Experience Mentoring and leading team members through a development cycle
Ability to implement continuous integration with Atlassian Bamboo
Experience deploying to Amazon EC2 or other cloud services a plus
