It's handy in that it lets you use multiple 'profiles' (sets of access/secret keys stored in a Perl hash), from the command line, so that you can test different IAM users with little effort. Message-ID: Perl Mongers, A few items to bring to your attention. First off, there is our normal monthly meeting this Thursday, March 15. We'll be meeting at our normal time and place, 7 PM at the Anonymizer offices, near I-805 and Mira Mesa Blvd. Bring your questions, ideas, thoughts, and we will discuss them. The next thing to mention is presentations. We've had a couple of small scale presentation over the last few months, which have sparked some good discussion at the meetings. If you have an idea of a presentation you'd like to see, give, or participate in, please let us know, so we can arrange for it to happen. We gathered a list of ideas at the last meeting (which I forgot to write down, so if anybody recalls that list, please let me know), and we could use some more ideas. If you think you can whip together a 10-or-so minute presentation for the meeting this month (or next month, or the month after that, or ...), please let me know. If you'd like to work on your presentation skills, but do not have a topic to present, or an audience to present it to, we can help you out. Also, I sent out a message looking to see if anybody wanted to move the meeting date, time and/or location. For the most part, everyone agreed the current time and place work well for them. There are a few people that it doesn't work, hopefully email list will work in the meantime. I'll look forward to seeing everybody on Thursday. Drop me a quick note if you think you can make it. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... My name is Nikole Baygents and I?m an IT recruiter with TEKsystems in the Ft. Lauderdale office. Today I spoke with somebody regarding an open Perl Developer position I have in Boca Raton. He said I would be able to reach out to your Perl Mongers group to see if anyone would be interested in relocating to south Florida. Here?s a short blurb about the opportunity: The position is a six month contract that will be going permanent. Candidate must have experience with Perl, PHP, Linux or Unix, and object oriented development. They are willing to consider candidate with ?CGI experience if there is no Perl or PHP. The role will be 50% development, 25% design, and 25% research. The position is with one of our largest clients in south Florida. And the candidate will be customizing front ends and helping automate functions for their customers. The rate for this opportunity is very market competitive as well as the salary when it goes permanent. Another few benefits, the company gives a 10% bonus in March, also gives a yearly raise, and pays out an additional companywide bonus depending on performance for the year. I would really appreciate the opportunity to network with the members of the San Diego chapter of Perl Mongers. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions 954-202-1785. You can also pass along my information to anyone who may be interested. Thank you so much and have a great weekend!
