From joel at fentin.com Fri Jun 11 08:22:10 2010 From: joel at fentin.com (Joel Fentin) Date: Fri, 11 Jun 2010 08:22:10 -0700 Subject: [San-Diego-pm] Refresh Message-ID: <4C1254A2.4010508@fentin.com> I'm working on a program that has a "prefabricated" slide show. The problem is that with each new change of pictures, it displays the cache rather than the new pictures. IE-8 has a problem. It reloads the cache; not new code. It's the default setting. I put the following in my dynamically generated page. It reloads the page over and over. But reload is not the cure. Refresh (F5 button) works. IE-7, FF, & Chrome don't have the problem. Is there some perl (or other) code I can use to cause a refresh (not a reload)? -- Joel Fentin tel: 760-749-8863 Biz Website: http://fentin.com Personal Website: http://fentin.com/me From rkleeman at energoncube.net Mon Jun 14 12:22:50 2010 From: rkleeman at energoncube.net (Bob Kleemann) Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2010 12:22:50 -0700 Subject: [San-Diego-pm] Meeting Thursday, June 17 Message-ID: Hello Perl Mongers, Come one and come all to the June meeting. I'm heading over to Tijuana with my friends for Friday and Saturday nights, coming back Sunday morning. Or at least, I thought I was. The problem is, the hotel can't hold my bags Friday and Saturday, and I really don't want to take my expensive laptop and other gear over to TJ. Is there anyone who could meet me Friday morning and grab my stuff and hold it until I get back Sunday? Or does anyone have a better idea? :) -- Randal L. I've decided that I'd just rent the cheapest possible car through hotwire, and drive it to the border. I've never had problems in the lot adjacent to the duty free shop there, since the feds *and* the federales patrol that back fence pretty well. That way, I have my stuff nearby if I need it, and I have a place to drop off a fifth if I want to bring one or two back. Thanks again everyone! So, as long as I'm still typing... would it be insane to suggest a get-together on the 4th? It'd probably be around noon or so. I have to get to the Amtrak by 4pm to get up to Los Angeles. I presume most of you already have 4th plans. Mine involves waking up in Mexico, and then heading to LA. :) -- Randal L.
