Problem

I have authored a number of websites on speedsoft. Suddenly all
pages generated by perl display the following message when viewed
with old browsers: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

No such problem when viewed by new browsers.

Speedsoft recently upgraded to Perl 5.6.1. This may be the source
of the change. Does anybody know how to get rid of the message.

To see an example of this, go to soundbirds.com with an old
browser. Click Recent Performances.
