Friends, Some of you are aware, some of you are not. My email has permanently changed. This is not by my own choice but a forced change required by the idiots who took over my last ISP and were about to force my email to be @ azboss.net. As a result of this move, everything that was on my old ISP is now gone. All my old emails, all my old web pages, all the digital photo's I've ever taken, everything which comprised my old net-self has vanished. So I'm asking if any of you have some old email's of mine laying around that contain old email addrs that I've lost in the move (anything that's not on the To: line above), please send them to me so I can try and recover as much of my old addressbook as possible. Also, if anyone has some spare weapons of mass destruction laying around there's an address in the "Tri-Cities, Washington" area I'd like to deliver them to. ~sdpm~ The posting address is: san-diego-pm-list@hfb.pm.org List requests should be sent to: majordomo@hfb.pm.org If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list, you can send mail to with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe san-diego-pm-list If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) send email to . (Score:1) by gnat on Wednesday April 11, @09:07AM (#3) (User #29 Info) For most of the conference, we actually don't need help (but thanks for the kind offer!). I discussed the SD.pm offer with the conference folks, and I believe the plan was to direct your efforts toward getting the word out to local companies. If nobody's been contacted about that, I'll go electrocute someone now :-) The other place we might need help is session chairs. Anyone who's going to be going to the conference and wants to help out can moderate a session. All you do is turn up early, meet the speakers (making sure they're there), introduce the speakers, and keep them to time. It can put a cramp in your style because you can't jump from room to room during the session you're moderating, but it's still a fun way to meet the speakers and get involved. So drop me a line in email (gnat@oreilly.com) and let me know whether anyone got back to you. If you and anyone else wants to moderate a session, also feel free to send me mail. Thanks, and sorry if we blew it! I may be able to make the meeting late but that means some people will have to be there already. I'll hand out the door code if more than a couple people write me back and say they'll be there. From todd.rockhold at ontogen.com Thu Apr 19 15:44:28 2001 From: todd.rockhold at ontogen.com (Todd Rockhold) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:20:18 2004 Subject: San Diego Perl Mongers meeting last night Message-ID: <01Apr19.135634pdt.118081@gateway.ontogen.com> ~sdpm~ President Kleeman could not attend last night, but from memory provided the (fortunately correct!) key code to unlock the door at Velocigen. I was the only "old monger" there but we had three people come: Doug Wilson (alas, recently dot-commed) all the way from Orange County, Anton Marder, and James Moore. James mentioned that he has had trouble signing up for the mail list -- has tried a couple of times but has received no email. Doug mentioned that maybe it would be a good idea to have an ad in the back of ComputorEdge, since the web site was down yesterday afternoon so he couldn't check details on meeting time and location. Also it was pointed out that for people who have not attended a meeting yet, "at Velocigen" is not specific enough because the building has several external doors marked "Velocigen". Later we talked a little about a few Perl modules, genetic programming (apparently there is some recent discussion of such at www.perlmonks.com). Since James had recently worked at MP3 he was interested in web services, so I mentioned Chris Radcliff's book-in-progress at http://globalspin.com/thebook/.
