The original problem:
I can't get a sort from mysql. I get the correct data in the
wrong order.
==================================
What I learned since:
With further experimentation, this appears not to be a perl
problem. I have the same problem issuing commands from the DOS
command line. I can create and delete databases, tables, columns,
and rows. I can do anything except sort. I've tried every
variation I can think of, and the best I can hope for is not
crashing.

Help!
