It is my understanding that lets you manage module versions in your
personal CPAN. I don't think it would let you have multiple versions in
the same Perl installation.
I think this is, multiple versions in on install tree, is something that
brian d foy would like to see.
However, as Dave pointed out Perl uses directory structure to deal with
modules.
I haven't looked for any possible hacks around it. The usual places to
look would be in Stackoverflow and irc.perl.org in the #perl channel.
IRC might be a better place to start in terms of getting into an active
discussion about it. SO will be better for getting some background info
before you wade into IRC.
