Our client is one of the largest live entertainment companies in the world,
consisting of five businesses: concert promotion and venue operations,
sponsorship, ticketing solutions, e-commerce and artist management. They
seek to innovate and enhance the live entertainment experience for artists
and fans: before, during and after the show. They provide ticket sales,
marketing and distribution through retail outlets, worldwide call centers
etc.

The Role:
Ticketmaster is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Point-of-Sale
Development team and contribute to a key applications used by clients and
used throughout the company.  We are building world-class products to help
our clients serve their customers better and we need a strong software
engineer to help us design and ship those products.  We are looking for
someone that has a passion for software development and can pick-up software
languages quickly.

Responsibilities
.             Understand and contribute to a large existing codebase, including new features, refactoring, and debugging
.             Identify and solve technical problems
.             Implement complex requirements and work with a deep dependency chain
.             Contribute significantly to the design and architecture of our code
.             Plan and prioritize work for large projects into phased deliverables

Qualifications:
.             Team player
.             Smart and gets things done
.             5+ years software engineering experience
.             Advanced skills in Perl (Object-oriented).
.             Advanced skills in one or more of the following languages: Java, Perl, C++.
.             Experience building enterprise-wide web applications
.             Experience with front-end and server-side web development is highly desirable.
.             Can communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
.             Learns new languages, skills, and technologies quickly, with minimal guidance
.             Excellent troubleshooting skills
.             Comfortable using revision control
.             Familiar with object-oriented design
.             Familiar with web
