Pablo, everyone..

I don't download a lot of windows software, but http://www.shareware.com
seems to have a reasonably good index of MSWin (and Amiga,
Atari!) free/shareware programs. Search for "bitchx". When you log on IRC,
you must specify a server and a username. The two large IRC networks are
Effnet and Undernet. One of them is more popular in Europe, I don't
remember which. irc.undernet.org accepts connections from
anywhere. As far as Unix software, I browse the listings at
www.freebsd.org and just download the source and built it on whatever
system I happen to be shopping for.
