Karen, I can relate.

I grew up in the comparably transit-challenged city of Gary, IN. 
Compared with their bus service, even SEPTA's Route 79 (the Snyder 
Avenue bus), with its comically low frequency after about 6 PM on 
weekdays, is an upgrade.
