    It is a full-time salaried position in Center City. The focus of the
job is day-to-day data collection, parsing, transformation, and import
tasks. The programming portion is nearly all Perl, with some SQL functions

Candidate should have:

experience, with at least one year of SQL;
  * two to four years of experience with Perl, preferably in data-oriented
applications;
  * at least two years of using Microsoft Excel;
  * knowledge of version control practices; preferably git;
  * knowledge of unit testing practices.

Desired traits include:
  * experience parsing and transforming text data (e.g. CSV);
  * other high-level language experience, e.g. VB, C#, C, etc.;
  * Javascript / AJAX / JSON.

    The environment is MS Windows, and candidate must work well with
Microsoft Outlook and Windows editing tools, file systems, and networks.

    The candidate must also have the ability to pay close attention to
detail; be unsatisfied with errors or discrepancies in raw data, and work
to resolve them; be dependable; meet deadlines committed to; work in a
professional corporate environment and present self in a professional
manner.
