[Pdx-pm] vim perl-support

Greetings,
I downloaded the perl-support.zip files from vim.org<http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=556>.
But I can't seem to get vim to recognize my template or any of the other good stuff in there.
Here's where I put stuff:
$ ls -alh ~/.vim/perl-support

I did set 'filetype plugin on' in ~/.vimrc


I'd appreciate the benefit of your experience on this.
I'm working with MacOSX 10.6.2 and perl5.10.0
