Hi all,

I think I'm going to have to officially step down as the shirt monger.  
I'm not sure what the 2004 timeline looked like, but my archive thinks 
I'm running late again.

So malloc calls a timeout and starts rummaging around the free chain,
sorting things out, and merging adjacent small free blocks into larger
blocks. This takes 3 1/2 days.
