From grimoire at corinne.cpio.org Thu Oct 10 10:06:36 2002 From: grimoire at corinne.cpio.org (Dave Page) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:08:35 2004 Subject: OxPM: Sushi, Edamame, 17/10/2002 7:30pm Message-ID: <20021010110636.S17297@corinne.cpio.org> Your attention please. Her Holiness, the High Priestess of the Church of Rover the Sushidog, the earthly mouthpiece of Rover Himself, Hester, has called forth a crusade for sushi in Oxford. All crusaders wishing to take up chopsticks in the name of Rover are to gather for the quest from 7pm at the Turf on Thursday 17th October, Anno Domini 2002. The quest will depart at 7:30pm for the restaurant known as Edamame, where great quantities of sushi will be consumed in celebration of Rover, and of sushi. Sake will almost certainly be drunk, leaving the High Priestess in a state of blissful divine revelation (or as she calls it, "squiffy"). Dave -- PerfDave: Just out of interest, what sort of childhood trauma is necessary to be as fucked up as you? This (admittedly rather inactive) member of the list is the licensee for the event, so I'll be there! If any perlmongers do come along then do ask after me - I'd like an opportunity to say "hi!" and put some names to faces. Heh. And there was me going for a nice quiet sober weekend in... still, there's only one Hop Back ale, which is rather annoying. Will probably pootle along Friday night and Saturday. If you could help me I would appreciate it! I am trying to access a Com DLL using Perl. The DLL was written in Visual Basic and return a "ByRef szData as String" Variable. When I pass Data to it, it receives the data and works. The problem is when retrieving data back from this DLL. The Visual Basic String is equal to BSTR under Visual C. I need to return Data back from the DLL.
