Hey fellow Perl users...

I've noticed a general quietness on the list of late.  To be fair, I  
only remembered ottawa.pm because of my monthly ottawa-pm at pm.org  
mailman reminder.

Any thoughts on having a meeting, even if its just of the beer kind?

I'm good for a casual meet - no need for presentations unless anybody 
wants to. :-)

Personally, I've been a bit off Perl. Perl 5 is not substantially 
changing and Perl 6 is not clearly superior to other newer OO languages 
out there. I still use Perl every day, but I look for more and more 
opportunities to switch off Perl, rather than switch to Perl. But, I 
still miss you guys (and few girls) and would be happy to get together 
over beers... :-)

	In the range of less alcoholized and more technical get-togethers, I've 
been harboring the idea of a hackaton for a little while, but I don't 
know how much peeps that would attract[1].

	It could be a hack-on-anything-you-want event, or if anyone has a pet 
project dear to their heart, we could potentially make that the project 
of the day.  Alternatively, if no-one has anything but are still reeving 
to work on something, well, I'm not short on suggestions:

[1] my gut feeling tells me it'd probably be in the low single digit 
numbers.  The kind that can be trivially be written in binary. :-)

Well, I'd be interested in any of the above, but hackathon followed by 
beer might be a good combination.
