Is anyone out there? I have been thinking about starting a tutor list about generic script programming (not just perl) out on egroups.com (yahoo). I will check to see if "pgmr101" is taken. It would cover languages like perl, python, bash, ksh, logo, and etc... regards, // David // -- #!/usr/bin/perl -iake_one_down_pass_it_around:_bottles_of_beer:_on_the_wall:99 for(($t,$a,$b,$i)=split/:/,$^I;$i;print){$_="-$i$a$b,-$i$a,-T$t,-".--$i."$a$b-"; s/(-1_.*?e)s/$1/g; y/_-/ \n/ } # by Randolph Chung and Joey Hess From pug at taut.oau.org Fri Nov 3 21:03:23 2000 From: pug at taut.oau.org (Perl Monger) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:08:26 2004 Subject: ** checking for a pulse ** In-Reply-To: from "Robert J Van Der Ploeg" at Nov 02, 2000 09:25:06 AM Message-ID: <200011040303.WAA04729@taut.oau.org> Robert J Van Der Ploeg wrote: > Hi. Hello Bob, I am going to be attending a Linux install party and general hackfest on Saturday. We will have machines there to play on for several hours. This is very short notice but at the next one, probably in a month or two, those interested might attend. We have quite a few programmers that even do a little Perl. :-) regards, // David // -- #!/usr/bin/perl -iake_one_down_pass_it_around:_bottles_of_beer:_on_the_wall:99 for(($t,$a,$b,$i)=split/:/,$^I;$i;print){$_="-$i$a$b,-$i$a,-T$t,-".--$i."$a$b-"; s/(-1_.*?e)s/$1/g; y/_-/ \n/ } # by Randolph Chung and Joey Hess From pug at taut.oau.org Sun Nov 19 19:50:45 2000 From: pug at taut.oau.org (Perl Monger) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:08:26 2004 Subject: eGroups : pgmr101 (fwd) Message-ID: <200011200150.UAA02851@taut.oau.org> Forwarded message from David Billsbrough Date: Sun, 19 Nov 2000 20:44:33 -0500 From: David Billsbrough Subject: eGroups : pgmr101 X-URL: http://www.egroups.com/group/pgmr101 eGroups Members: 2 Category: Top : Computers : Education : Programming : Tutorials Addresses: Post message: pgmr101@egroups.com Subscribe: pgmr101-subscribe@egroups.com Unsubscribe: pgmr101-unsubscribe@egroups.com List owner: pgmr101-owner@egroups.com URL to this page: http://www.egroups.com/group/pgmr101 Options: o Not listed in directory o Restricted membership o Unmoderated o All members may post o Primary language: English o Archives for members only o Email attachments are permitted forwarded message from David Billsbrough It appears that the PerlMonger list of Orlando has a plague associated with it due to lack of activity. Maybe we need a fresh start! How about somebody posting a message to the above list explaining the finer points of hashes in Perl. regards, // David // -- #!/usr/bin/perl -iake_one_down_pass_it_around:_bottles_of_beer:_on_the_wall:99 for(($t,$a,$b,$i)=split/:/,$^I;$i;print){$_="-$i$a$b,-$i$a,-T$t,-".--$i."$a$b-"; s/(-1_.*?e)s/$1/g; y/_-/ \n/ } # by Randolph Chung and Joey Hess
