If UNO's open tomorrow, then I'm up for tomorrow.  There's also a handful of
my students hoping for extra credit if they go and stay the whole time.  ;)

I figured that they would close UNO sometime today with the weather.  I

Thank you for voting/commenting. Thr Dec 10 and Mon Dec 14 were the most popular options. I'm thinking about doing both so (almost) everyone is covered.

Millard Public Schools is closed again tomorrow, but so far UNO is open tomorrow. So at 8am I'll call in and see if I can get the room on both of those dates.

I'll also register the few additional people that have emailed me since Tuesday, and anyone else who wants in.

I thought it was a good show.  I only see the code that you (Jay) send
to the list so I was slightly surprised that they said that a lot of
the Perl code is really just "glue" between multiple data sources and
data processing systems.

My meager non-OO and non-PerlGolf skills could still be useful! :-)

I doubt we wants to shove the whole file (minus XML tags) into postID.

But, in case he does, here's an equivalent Perl command (strip all tags):

   perl -pe 's/<.*?>//g' data.xml

(This solution is probably naive. CDATA tags, multi-line tags, etc.?)

If you're doing really complex menus, you'll probably want one of the many curses modules (http://search.cpan.org is your friend). I haven't built any big ones.

I haven't used it, but in the interest of Modern/Enlightened[0] Perl
best practices, I'd start with a look at?MooseX::App::Cmd[1]. ?From a
quick look at it, it mashes up MooseX::Getopt and App::Cmd,?allowing
you to write moose commands as Moose classes, with MooseX::Getopt
defining the options.
