Hi all

I don't think I ever sent out an email after the technical meeting, so
first of all -- to those who spoke, who helped sort out a venue and a date,
and to those who came along, thanks! It was a successful event, and an
enjoyable evening, and everybody was a part of that :-) We'll do it again
in January.

We have a few new list subscribers since the tech event, which is great to
see -- you might also be interested to know that we have a twitter feed (
http://twitter.com/nottinghamperl), an occasionally-updated website (
http://nottingham.pm.org/) and an IRC channel (#nottingham.pm on
irc.perl.org), mostly for event planning/announcements.

Next up, we have our November social. There's a doodle online at
http://doodle.com/xih25znkwm7vaq4e to pick a date, and we'll probably go to
the Canalhouse again, for convenience -- unless anyone has a strong opinion
otherwise?

I'm not intending to organise an event in December (although if anybody
wants to step up and do so, that'd be fine by me!), but we'll have another
technical event on either the 22nd of 29th of January.

I'm aware of a few offers of talks already, but I'd appreciate very much if
anybody who'd like to give a talk could have a think about a title, and
maybe a 1-2 sentence abstract, so I can start putting together a schedule.
Talks of around 20-30 minutes seem to work well, and I'll aim to have 3.

Beyond that ... Feburary another social, and March maybe a tech meet but
with lightning talks? But let's get into 2015 before we decide on that :-)
