I did a quick down n dirty intro to XMl for a group of developers at JLab
a few months ago. I've got it up at http://www.pcs.cnu.edu/~acm

go through the intro and click on the 'tutorials' link.

There you will find a nice overview of XML, mostly from a web development
point of view. Also gives a pretty good definition of XML.
