Just a general note on the discussion about website, mailinglist and Meetup listing of Niederrhein.PM. Some private messages have been exchanged in that regard for clarification and for preparation of todays meeting. Despite clear preferences and opinions, no decisions have been taken. That will be done at todays meeting.

I hope that description reflects the situation properly and neutrally.

Regarding my motivation for making some noise: The presentation of Niederrhein.PM is relevant for local Perl-related business. If the local user group confirms prejudice about Perl (outdated, unorganized), that's as much about the future of Perl as some new magic character between parenthesis. It gives unnecessary sharp arguments to Non-Perl competitors. If Niederrhein had the public presentation of an average technical user group, I would be happy already.
