After I spoke to your meeting in December, I remember urging people to  
attend Yet Another Perl Conference 2005 in Toronto, June 27-29.  The  
Toronto organizing committee is mailing all members of .pm groups with  
details about registration, submitting presentation proposals,  
accommodations, etc.  So I won't repeat that info here.

I will say (self-promotion department) that I've submitted proposals  
for two talks to YAPC.  I won't know for a couple of weeks whether  
they've been accepted or not.

In either event, I do hope to see some NOLA Perlmongers in Toronto.   
Since Toronto is a popular tourist destination during the summer, it's  
worthwhile to register early and reserve accommodations early.

It appears that Air Canada operates between MSY and YYZ, but that the  
best pricing is obtained by taking an Air Canada code-share flight on  
United from New Orleans to Chicago, changing planes, then taking the  
AirCanada nonstop on the reverse leg.
