The position is in the client's tools and integration department, supporting their developers in the build process (rather than developing an application for an end-user). Main priorities: 1) Scripting (Perl or similar) 2) Java and Ant 3) Software testing 4) Software configuration management principles 5) Continuous integration Experience with ClearCase would be useful and they use the "Scrum" agile development methodology, so experience with that would be a bonus. If you're interested, send your resume to Missy at . Oh, and experience with CruiseControl would be a plus too. We're probably due for a technical meeting before too long. Given that it's only a week from the second Wednesday of April, I'm going to suggest a social meeting for 9 April, and a technical meeting for 14 May, assuming I can get some volunteers for talking. I'm not sure what proportion of our usual attendees came to Frozen Perl (for which I should thank the organisers for organising once again) so we may or may not be able to pad the running order with recycled talks :) Ian From look at recursion.org Thu Apr 24 19:11:45 2008 From: look at recursion.org (Luke Francl) Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2008 21:11:45 -0500 (CDT) Subject: [Mpls-pm] MinneBar is May 10, 2008. Sign up now! MinneBar is back! Minnesota's hottest (and free-est) tech event is happening May 10th at Coffman Union at the University of Minnesota. MinneBar is an "(un)conference" where attendees set the agenda. It is unique because it brings together the Twin Cities' design and programming community for a day of learning, networking, and fun. Already, there are sessions ranging from scaling with Amazon Web Services to iPhone development to using CSS frameworks. There will be a full day of participatory sessions (put on by people just like you), plus breakfast, lunch, beverages, and an after-party on the 4th floor patio at Coffman. To sign up, add your name to the wiki: http://barcamp.org/MinneBar (the "invite code" is "c4mp"). All this is made possible by our sponsors: * University of Minnesota Software Engineering Center (Venue Sponsor) - http://www.umsec.umn.edu * Split Rock Partners - http://www.splitrock.com * ipHouse - http://iphouse.com * Swarmcast - http://www.swarmcast.com * Sierra Bravo - http://www.sierra-bravo.com * FindLaw - http://www.findlaw.com Be sure to thank them at the event. * Call for Sessions * As an (un)conference, MinneBar's attendees set the agenda. That means we need people to lead sessions and panel discussions. To sign up, add your session to the wiki: http://barcamp.org/MinneBarSessions * T-Shirt Design * Feeling creative? We're looking for a t-shirt design for this year's event. Download the template (http://barcamp.org/f/ t.shirt_fruit.of.the.loom.zip) and send your design to ben at alttext.com. See you there, Luke Francl P.S.: MinneBar is free and open to everyone, and we depend on you to spread the word about it -- so please forward this email to your friends and colleagues who would be interested/interesting. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the MinneBar announcement list.
