[mplspm]: Why can't I get flock($fh,LOCK_EX) to work?

Ohh, duhh!  If you're going to establish an exclusive (i.e., write) lock,
it works a *lot* better if you open the desired file in WRITE mode!

Sheesh...  Thanks anyway.

(Dave, thanks for your note -- seems, though, that including the $flock_struct
is kinda overkill, unless your program used those flags somewhere else.)

Can't make it Thursday night -- bell choir practice.  Maybe next time, tho'...
