If it is like that, probably it is better to chose more of that days
over Doodle. I would like to have the impossible days not setted, and
2 or 3 days that is possible for you to go setted. The seance is to
get one day where most of the persons can go.

first week is around Ester. Let's see if it isn't such a big problem.

Hi Marcos,
I saw that you added some days to the list, I placed a preference on
thursday the 2nd aswell.
Talking about places...
....I know a nice pub, they even have tables outside in a private
internal garden; it's in via Ortica (pretty close to Lambrate's
station); the place's name is Giardini della Birra.
It's kinda popular, so I guess that some of you already heard the name.

Note that the first question is ambiguous, as it can either give (0..10) or
11, depending on the context.   But an understanding of context is surely
more useful than an ability to solve multiple-choice trivia about list
operators in the core language.

And to judge a "senior", I'd be looking at design, OO, knowledge of CPAN,
database, web, unicode, debugging, and many other skills.

(It's a fun test certainly, I'm just a bit worried about what you or others
might want to use it for ;-)

11 isn't one of the possible answer, so there is no problem with
context in here.

It was first designed to job interviews.

The idea at that moment was to have a set of tests to the candidats in
multiple areas. Most of the candidates say that are experts in a set
of technologies, and this test shall show that a person have good
knowledge of Perl. It was important not asking for question specific
to a certain set of CPAN packages, since a good software developer can
learn any package.

The interviews were done with 4 to 5 persons, for 3 to 4 hours, if the
person cost 35?/hour, we are speaking of ~500?. Like this the
candidates where having a fast interview with one person, and after if
the candidate was passing (25%) he was having the full team interview.

I have done some interviews of supposed experts and losing to much
time for nothing. After 15 minutes I was already giving up of them,
but I was there for 3 hours.

Note: It's a place where you are well paid but it's very hard to
enter. You need to be really good.

a) i was lucky, 75% is ok

I would say number 14 could be changed a bit, as keys() might return
keys in any order, so arrays shown as options could not be correct as
far as ordering is concerned.

This tests posted publicly are good for discovering weak points. They
are no longer for interviews, otherwise they could not become public.

A developer with more then 3 years of experience in any of the areas
of Perl development shall know most of this things, after getting the
curiosity to discover the remaining ones.

Not so many are crazy enough to study deeply all this small things,
and as Hakin as told correctly, some questions are missing. Even not
using any package.

For example: IO, OO, tie, ...

They are not there becose I didn't found a one liner question for
them. If you have a suggestion for one additional question I will
consider it.

I have to say that I'm lazy.


I have consider the 'ref bless {}, "xpto"' but, ...

answer is right ;-)

Seems that no one is opposing itself to this location, so it will be chosen.

I received some very good news from another monger in the, that I will
distribute.

Max has a place for the First Tech-Meeting, near Piazza Cadorna.

So now we need at least 3 persons willing to speak for about 20 to 30 min.

I have already 3 presentations  +- prepared to do, about:

They mainly serve meat dishes, don't they? Strange though it may seem,
more than 30% of the people attending the first meeting were
vegetarian. So that might be a problem.

Max, I am vegetarian myself :)
I am not sure about what they serve but I am quite sure the beer is
good. Besides that I know that they prepare good sandwiches.

We have consensus on the date, the 9 of April.

Now we have to decide the place.

We have this suggestions:

- Giardini della Birra (Andy)
- PIzzeria Vecchia Napoli(Max)
- Pizza Ok 2 (Ilaria)
- La Fabbrica Pizzeria (Ilaria)
- Pizzeria Happyness (Marcos)

Since we have some time, I will let the place opened for now, waiting
for opinions on this places (please don't add any other place). Next
Friday (3 of April) we will close this election.

I eat every day to "I giardini della birra" and it's a good place to
