Depending on what sort of response you go t to your call - if it was substantial and things are underway you can ignore what I'm saying here - but if it was a bit lackluster , then maybe we should consider running a strong Perl track in an Australian OSDC for 2017. The OSDC is aimed at a much larger audience (obviously) and enjoys a stellar reputation. Sadly, AFAICT, 2016 was the first time in the last 12 years that Australia didn't run an OSDC so, maybe that would increase interest in one late this year.
