It would definitly not be the same without a flaming pit of charcoal! 
Hey, what kind of party do you have to throw to get Randal to show up? 
I think beach bbq is just screaming for a guest guru.

I live pretty close to venice beach and will scope out the area and see 
what we have to work with.  I walk between the venice peer and sm peer 
quite a bit and haven't seen any obviously public grilling areas.
