From andy at murren.org Mon Oct 30 10:46:45 2000 From: andy at murren.org (Andy Murren) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:06:40 2004 Subject: Hello Message-ID: <20001030114645.A16120@oven.com> Hey gang! Checking to see if anyone is still on the list. If you are please post an update what you are doing and if you are interested in getting together. I donated $100 to the Damian fund in the name of the Long Valley Perl Mongers. (http://yetanother.org/damian/contribs.html) So the group can take credit for that. Personally I have taken a new job at Lexis-Nexis as an IT manager, which takes me out of day to day programming, but I am trying to stay active. I am co-author on CGI::WML which is a sub-class of CGI for doing WML (the Wireless Markup Language) for cell phones and other WAP compliant devices. The orignial author is Angus Wood from London, England. Is anyone interested in a get together around or before Thanksgiving? Thanks and good luck to all. I still use Perl whenever I can to make my job easier, but it is not my main job output. I am interested in getting together, but I am traveling frequently to Virginia for a project, so it may be tough to coordinate my schedule (or lack thereof) with others. > -----Original Message----- > From: Andy Murren [SMTP:andy@murren.org] > Sent: Monday, October 30, 2000 11:47 AM > To: long-valley-pm-list@pm.org > Subject: Hello > > Hey gang! > > Checking to see if anyone is still on the list. Right now I'm a freshman at Princeton and currently home on fall break. I'm taking computer science 126 there (which no one is allowed to skip, for some reason) and enjoying it. It's easy (so I can miss class all the time) but the assignments are still pretty interesting. Of course, all the assignments are in C (except for one in kind of pseudo-assembler) so any Perl programming I do is to administer my own system, analyzing logs and such. Anyone who's interested can look at http://skerratt.student.princeton.edu and see the random crap I've thrown on my web page. Hope you are all well!
