As we talked about last night, it looks like FSLC does still have a
webpage with _some_ okay information.

Details on joining the IRC channel can be found here:

In addition to the client list on that page, you can try pidgin for a
nice gui IRC client.

The main active channel is #linux.  Just remember that a lot of times
it will take quite a while before anyone responds there and the most
active time is between 0800-1700.  For kicks and giggles I got a #perl
channel open too.

Sorry, I just realized that March 15 is Utah's Republican Caucus night.
Never been to one but am committed to go this time.

Anyone have an issue if I change the next meeting to Wednesday March 14
instead? Or I could move it up or back a Thursday.

Thank you Scott!  I'm going to try out being on our new IRC channel
throughout the day going forward. I think the port is blocked at work
but should be able to use a web client.

For those who are just starting out, maybe we could throw out a daily
Perl brain teaser.

I've setup our website with the next three meetings and just basic info:

If anyone has any suggestions or corrections let me know.  Yes, It is
really plain and simple.  Please feel free to volunteer to beautify or
add functionality.

I've requested the dates listed and the room we had last time, Old
Ephriam, but it is not yet confirmed. I can schedule up to 180 days out.
This room is fine as long as we are under 15 attendees and a larger room
is available if we grow.

For those who didn't make it to our February organizing meeting, we had
6 in attendance. With a little advertising and word of mouth, we should
be able to double that easily. I'll make a flier that I'll be posting at
RR Donnelley and make it available to anyone else to pass around. I'm
really excited for Phillip's presentation in May on Asterisk.

You control how calls are handled via a "dialplan" config file.  You can extend

* Map 511 to a local road and weather service.
* Custom caller-id database of friends/family.
* Control my music server (MPD) via my phone.
* Call my phone to get Disneyland wait times.
