Well, when you're dealing with 'all of the machine' and the like, it might
be best to stick with an already existing program, especially if they're
different types of systems.

The one that comes to mind right away is MRTG, which can graph just about
anything--

Although it's intended for network traffic, I know Mike Andrews decided to
start graphing disk usage, temperature, and whatever else he felt like.
