Matt Sargeant, a principal author of SpamAssassin and author of Axkit,
among other big perl projects, will be moving from the UK to Kitchener
(for a few months), then elsewhere in this general area when he and his
wife find a house.  I've extended an invite for him to join us at our
meeting in January.
