Try:

$ perl -MCPAN -e shell
cpan> look Kwiki << -- this will open a shell in the Kwiki build
directory
$ make
$ make test
$ make install
$ exit
cpan> quit

Look for obvious errors in the "make" or "make test" stages.

Subject
[kw-pm] anyone here installed Kwiki on fedora core 3?

  i've asked about this on the kwiki ML, and haven't received a full
answer on how to do this. i've tried to install Kwiki on a
newly-installed FC3 system according to the instructions at

http://www.kwiki.org/?KwikiInstallation

i can't even make it past the CPAN install:

  # perl -MCPAN -e 'install Kwiki'

when i do that, i get loads of output, ending with:

BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at lib/Kwiki.pm line 4.
Compilation failed in require at t/formatter3.t line 5.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at t/formatter3.t line 5.
# Looks like your test died before it could output anything.
t/formatter3....dubious
        Test returned status 2 (wstat 512, 0x200)
FAILED--4 test scripts could be run, alas--no output ever seen
make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 2
  /usr/bin/make test -- NOT OK
Running make install
  make test had returned bad status, won't install without force

  as much as i don't like forcing anything, i gave that a shot as well
with:

  # perl -MCPAN -e 'force install Kwiki'

and got the same results.

  one person on the mailing list said he had success by first
installing CPANPLUS and using that, but he admitted that his first
attempt failed and he first had to force-install IO::All before it
worked.

  all this forcing of things makes me a mite queasy. i'd like to know
if anyone else has managed to install this without resorting to brute
strength.
