*Description of Position:*



The application developer is responsible for working with internal and
external customers to design and develop features of existing Perl
applications. The Application Developer designs and develops features of
existing Perl application, migrates existing systems to the new technology
stack, provides application support for existing Perl applications, and
assists with development of coding standards and peer reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of software engineering as
well as excellent analytical skills. Such a candidate will be a team player
who can also work independently, and will be highly creative in
troubleshooting issues, developing solutions, and executing new ideas and
initiatives.



*Responsibilities:*



   - Develops software solutions to meet customer needs.
   - Provides application support for existing Perl applications.
   - Evaluates existing applications and performs updates and modifications.

·         Assists with development of coding standards and peer reviews.

·         Migrates current Perl systems to new technology stack as existing
Perl systems are replaced.

   - Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.



*Knowledge, skills and abilities: *



·         2 Years of Perl experience required.

·         Experience designing and building enterprise applications.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related
discipline required. Equivalent experience may be considered.

·         8-10 years’ worth of relevant education and application
development experience required.

·         Experience designing and building enterprise applications.

·         Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to be a team player while still being able to work
independently.

·         Experience in the third-party logistics/warehousing industry
preferred.
