That means we're going to need some people to volunteer to give them. As Robert said, it's a great way to dip your toe into presenting. A good lightning talk can be made from: - One technique you found cool - One bug you found baffling - One module you'd like people to know about - One customer comment that made you face palm - Anything about which you can talk for 5 minutes You can do a lightning talk without slides or with only a couple. Let's hear about your ideas. G. Wade -- In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. I was actually talking about two meetings. The normal one, and a special meeting with Reini. We've done this before when experts have come in to town. G. Wade -- If there's no solution, there's no problem. -- Rick Hoselton From drzigman at drzigman.com Mon Jan 23 06:55:53 2017 From: drzigman at drzigman.com (Robert Stone) Date: Mon, 23 Jan 2017 08:55:53 -0600 Subject: [pm-h] February Houston.pm Meeting In-Reply-To: <20170122221625.7f398a70@cygnus> References: <20170122221625.7f398a70@cygnus> Message-ID: Greetings, I've been doing some work with the Zodiac Killer's Z408 Cipher (I'm tons of fun at cocktail parties!) which is a Homophonic Substitution Cipher. Namely, creating a new Crypt::Z408 module and experimenting with a way to brute force generic Homophonic Substitution Ciphers which may or may not bear fruit. If there is any interest I'd be happy to put together a presentation on the history of and mechanics of the Z408 cipher followed by either a demonstration/exploration of how I've cracked it (*extremely* wishful thinking) or at least an open forum on new methods to try if I am unable to come up with a multi purpose solution. Alternatively, if there are special requests for a topic I'm always open to new ideas. Best Regards, Robert Stone On Sun, Jan 22, 2017 at 10:16 PM, G.
