I have a G1, wanting to try programming for it, but just haven't got to it yet.

I use vim, Komodo Edit, and Notepad++. I do a lot of development over
an SSH terminal, so I need a purely text-mode editor like vim.
Notepad++ is fast, has file tabs, and lets me bookmark frequently
visited files. Komodo Edit also has tabs, lets me edit remotely by
SFTP, and lets me group files into projects.

I do a lot of work in Mason, and each of my preferred editors has
issues with syntax highlighting for mixed HTML and Perl. Komodo Edit
seems to come closest to getting it right.

I think IDEs aren't as popular with Perl devs (and maybe Python &
Ruby) as they are with Java and .Net devs because (a) scripting
languages are more concise, so we don't need as much help with the
heavy lifting, and (b) despite ActiveState's best efforts, there's no
IDE that groks Perl (etc) the way Eclipse and Visual Studio do their
primary languages.
