I admin the Perl Net wiki ( http://perl.net.au/ ) and one thing we've offered to others in the past (for example Sydney Perl Mongers) is to host their PM websites. So if you go to http://sydney.pm.org/ you'll find a redirect to their Perl Net page. If you'd like to create a http://perl.net.au/wiki/HawkesBay_Perl_Mongers page, I'd be happy to work with Daniel to set up a redirect from the current page to that one. This would have the benefit that *everyone* (or anyone) could work to keep the page up to date and interesting. All the best, Jacinta -- ("`-''-/").___..--''"`-._ | Jacinta Richardson | `6_ 6 ) `-. Thanks for not giving up on this list. == Life Yep, there is a bit of life on this list. But only you and I have posted to the list this year and I've only posted twice. (Sigh) And I don't think either of us are from New Zealand. I live in Oakland, California. (Sigh * 2) Anyway, life there is on this list. One of the things I especially like about HawkesBay.pm is the home page. I especially like: * the use of color * the background * the mix of structure and personal. I do wish Daniel would update the home page, though. == Perl Net Wiki I wasn't aware of Perl Net Wiki until I followed your link to it. Looks good to me. Ah, and among the many things you do, you admin Perl Net Wiki. Thank you. == Sydney Perl Mongers I looked at the website of the Sydney Perl Mongers as an example of a PM website Perl Net Wiki hosts. It looks like having Perl Net Wiki host their site works well for them. == Hawkes Bay on Perl Net Wiki? Whatever Daniel wants to do is fine with me. Not being from the Hawkes Bay area (or even nearby), what I'd be able to contribute to a Hawkes Bay portion of the wiki would be quite limited. If I had my wish, the outcome would be * Daniel updates the home page to say whatever is so now. * You provide a URL for the starting point of a HawkesBay.pm Wiki. (I don't even know if you are willing to do that.) * Daniel puts a link to the starting point of the HawkesBay.pm Wiki on the HawkesBay.pm home page. But as far as I'm concerned, I'll be happy with whatever Daniel wishes. == Skoal, George On Thursday 03 August 2006 18:04, Jacinta Richardson wrote: > G'day George, > > Nice to see some life on this list! > > > I see on the home page: > > Last Updated: 18th February 2003 1550NZDT > > How about some small update? > > I admin the Perl Net wiki ( http://perl.net.au/ ) and one thing we've > offered to others in the past (for example Sydney Perl Mongers) is to host > their PM websites.
