Autrijus Tang's PAR might be an interesting solution.
One of it's features is the ability to use modules
remotely. Go to: http://search.cpan.org/~smueller/PAR/lib/PAR/Tutorial.pod
and search for "On-demand library fetching"
Never done it myself though...
