(Tangent:  Anyone remember that old gameshow called the "Liars Club"?)

I'm finding all this flamage strangely exhilarating.  : )

As for PostgreSQL, it grew out of the Postgres Project at Berkeley
under Michael Stonebraker (which grew out of the Ingres Project at
Berkeley).  As you'd expect, it's licensed under the BSD license, so
you'd have no problems with distribution I guess.
Regardless, I wouldn't recommend having your furniture info/catalog app
run on Postgres.  : )
