Company:
CAP Division, Sweet?s Group, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies, is
the leading software and information developer for design and specification
in the contract office furniture industry. We are currently seeking a Web
Developer to development team. The company offers a competitive salary and

Salary Range: $42,300 ? 54,200 (0017)
Job Requirements:
The Web Developer is responsible for research, design, development,
deployment and maintenance of Web-based applications. The position relies
on a host of skills ranging from database development and administration to
research and analysis, programming, project management and change control.
The Web Developer's primary background is in systems development that
enables sound analysis and creation of Web applications using a variety of
technologies. The Web Developer is also responsible to learn the Web based
applications and content conversion issues related to backup resource with
outside applications vendors. The position focuses on B2B e-commerce
within the contract furniture and facilities management industry.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Experience Required:
Must have four years of related job experience. Must have extensive
experience with Microsoft's Internet Information Server and basic
environments. Must have an understanding of current Internet programming
languages such as Java, Perl, Java script, CGI, scripting and a variety of
development tools.
Other qualifications:
? Must be able to deal in a constantly changing environment and new
technologies to be an effective.
? Requires design, development and implementation of database structures and
graphical user interfaces (GUI's).
? Must be well versed in the total web development process for this person to
be accountable for taking business ideas for revenue generation and making them
a reality.
? Must have strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills and
be accountable for CAP?s Web development. The Web Developer will use these
skills when negotiation with vendors, when explaining complex technical issues
to internal staff.
? Importantly, must be able to understand the large business issue and
opportunity and then provide solutions. Must be able to analyze the business
issues and build code to take advantage of the opportunity. Must be able to
translate business issue to communicate with third parties and outsource
technical services.
