From Benjamin.Mouw at priority-health.com Wed Aug 13 10:32:43 2003 From: Benjamin.Mouw at priority-health.com (Benjamin.Mouw@priority-health.com) Date: Wed Aug 4 00:00:56 2004 Subject: FW: Perl Mongers meeting place Message-ID: My professor has reserved a room for the September and later meetings. This is on a Thursday, do we want to keep this reservation(he has been bugging me). I have already had one opposing response sent directly to me. Is there anyone else that directly opposes this day or is there anyone who really likes this day better. Let everyone know how you feel. (North Hall 253 has classes every day at that time.) So I went ahead and reserved SB 382 for the GR Perl Mongers, before it disappears... Let me know if this doesn't work for the group... -Joel. Since 95% of our membership comes from P-H, I'm really not worried that people will 'miss' the meeting. We'll just send someone around to 'warn' people at 10:00 and then collect them at 11:00. JMHO, YMMV, and other abbreviations apply. Uh, BD's Mongial BBQ. There's More Than One Way To Describe It. (TMTOWTDI)? There's More Than One Way To Do It at Mongolian BBQ, thus making it the preferred choice of GR.PM. 11:30. 28th Street, Grand Rapids. See you there! It turns out that Andy Lester, who presented "Automating of Large Projects in Perl" at the 2003 OS conference is available to do it himself! Except, of course, he lives in Chicago. So it would be nice if we could raise at least enough $$$ to cover his costs - food, gas, and a hotel. $150 or so, I figure. So: 1) Is anyone willing to chip in a couplea bucks for a world-class presentation? 2) Is any -organization- in grand rapids (or group of people) interested in a few hours of training or consulting from a world class QA-er/Coder/Software Manager? (Resume: http://www.petdance.com/resume/) If you want to help, feel free to email me privately, or, if you wish, reply to the list. Regards, Matt Heusser
