Do we need 2 separate GR.pm mailing lists?

I was recently spending a little time cleaning up the 2 GR.pm lists (If 
you're on either of them, you're receiving this email.) and wondered if 
it's really necessary to have 2 lists?
Are any of you deliberately on the "announce" list 
(grand-rapids-pm-announce:  for important GR.pm announcements) but not 
the other list (grand-rapids-pm-list:  more noise, less signal)?
I noticed some people were on the non-announce list, but not on the 
announce list.  I'd imagine some of this is due to confusion over the 
two lists and their purpose.  Any feedback is appreciated.
