Dear Perlmongers,

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that Dr. Keith
Hennessey Brown who was both a personal friend and a member of
Edinburgh's Perlmongers died of a heart attack on 12 December 2016 at
the age of 44.

In addition to being a member of Perlmongers, Keith had a PhD in Film
Studies from the University of Edinburgh and was heavily involved in
the Film Guild at the Filmhouse.  No public memorial service has yet
been scheduled but if there is one, I will pass along any details that
I receive.

Hi,

This month's meeting will be on the 22nd which is three days before
Christmas and two days before the start of Chanukah. I was wondering
if there was an appetite on the list for having the meeting?  If we
don't have it on 22nd then we could have a heretics' meeting on the
29th to round out the year.

I definitely can't make the 22nd, I'm afraid. The 29th is much more
likely for me, but not entirely guaranteed.

I might equally make it to either date, I think. Usual parenting caveats

Hi Everyone,

I think, after seeing the responses and talking in-person to another,
that we should postpone the meeting until the 29th of December.  So,
Cloisters at 7:30pm on the 29th of December.
