[You are being sent this email because you or your organisation have
previously played, or expressed an interest in playing, croquet at the
Meadows.    Please could you forward it on to others in your

This weekend (30/31 August) twelve of the world's top croquet players
will be contesting the Great Britain v. Ireland Test Match at the
Meadows Croquet Club in Edinburgh.     Four of the world's top ten
players will be in action (two of them play for Scotland).     This is
a rare opportunity to see croquet played at the very highest level, so
come along and see what croquet's all about and support Team GB!
Play will start at 9.30 am on Saturday morning and probably continue
until about 4.00 or 5.00 pm.    It will start again on Sunday morning
at 9.30 am and the trophy is expected to be be presented at about 2.15
pm on Sunday.   Admission is free, so come along and drop in.   The
event is sponsored by the Clydesdale Bank.
