Hi,

I'd like to canvas feelings about whether you would like ed.pm to join
O'Reilly's User Group Program. Have a look over http://ug.oreilly.com/
if you don't know much about it.

In return for a bi-weekly newsletter (which I assume would be posted
direct to the list) there are various incentives such as discounts on
books and conference rates.

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it, not least as I'm
considering (self-funded) attendance of an O'Reilly sponsored
conference.

"The Copenhagen Perl Mongers will host the Fifth Nordic Perl Workshop  
on April 28-29, 2007. Submit proposals for papers, offer sponsorship,  
or volunteer to help.

The price for two days of the workshop with lunch included is 500 DKK  
(about $US90). Presentations are held mostly in English. And, as  
usual, the workshop fee is waived for speakers, so submit a talk!

Yep.  Today was quite a small turnout -- I don't think the date helped,
