[DFW.pm] Perl Scripter Opportunity

Hi all!

I have a client in North Dallas that's looking to add a Perl Scripter with 
Java experience to their team to help out on some projects. The client 
isn't too strict on how much Java VS Perl experience you have as long as 
you are strong in one and have experience in the other. 

Referral $$$...If you are NOT interested or already engaged in a current 
contract, do you know of anyone that might be interested in this position? 
If we place them with one of our clients I can pay you up to a $1 hr 
referral fee for every hour they work throughout the life of the contract. 
The Insource Group paid out over $50,000 in referral fees in 2011. It is a 
great way to obtain a second source of income without having to secure a 
2nd job.

Location:       Plano

Rate:           $35-40+ / hr W-2 based on skillset

Job Requirement: 
North Dallas client is looking for a Perl Scripter with Java experience. 
This is an open ended 6+ month contract position.

Overview: Working within a multi-disciplinary project team, you will apply 
your software engineering skills to contribute to the successful 
development and support of a  market leading telecommunications network 
management products.

Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing Iris Session 
Analyzer software applications for telecommunications and data networks. 
You will take part in all aspects of the software life cycle, including 
requirements analysis, design, implementation, peer review, testing, 
integration, configuration management, and troubleshooting. You will work 
as an integral member of a self directed agile development team employing 
a Scrum based methodology. Must have scripting skills.

Qualified candidate will have the following skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical and organizational 
skills
Strong general programming and problem solving skills.
Proactive nature willing to take initiative and seek challenges in 
technical areas that may be completely new
Ability to view software from an Architectural and System perspective
Ability to trace down and troubleshoot problems within a system
Work well both individually and as a productive member of an agile 
development team.
Thorough understanding of the role and importance of documentation at each 
level of the development process, including requirements, design, coding 
and testing

Technical Qualifications:
Perl Scripting Experience
Experience with web services
Proficiency in at least one Linux or Unix Operating System such as Redhat 
Linux or Solaris 10 
Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design skills with exposure to design 
tools and design patterns. 
Working knowledge in modern web application development frameworks 
(Tomcat, Spring). 
Experience in XML is required.


Pluses but not required:
UML Experience
Grails and Groovy are a plus, but not required
Java, basic Java frameworks, J2EE technologies, and Swing. 
Eclipse or IntelliJ
