Perl is vastly under-represented. For those unfamiliar with PenguiCon, it's an OpenSource/ScienceFiction con (and more) that happens yearly in the Metro Detroit area. This year it's moved from April to the first weekend in May. Check it out at penguicon.org ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Hello! I am Trevor Jagoda, the head of PenguiCon 7.0's Tech Track. Why am I harassing your mailing lists, you say? It's quite simple, I need more presentations and panels! So, if any of you out there would like to present your hobbies, interests, knowledge(s), or frighteningly-hacked-together homebrew contraptions at PenguiCon, e-mail me! Send a panel/talk/event/activity title to "trevor.jagoda at gmail.com", along with a small descriptive blurb, and a list of the participants (list of participants is not needed if you are doing a solo-talk), and we'll get you scheduled into the fun! Message-ID: <497F810A.8020905@techrg.com> Hi all - I put in a request to get the website back under pm.org management and they are working on it. They do not offer any scripting possibilities for the site - just static content. This should be OK for us since all we need up there is some meeting announcements, presentations, links, code/scripts and any other useful stuff.... If anyone who has presented in the past has presentations in any format - PPT, DOC, PDF, TEXT, etc... Please email them to me with the date (approx if you forgot) and I will get them up on the site. Moving forward - once the DNS is setup - if anyone wants to post anything - just let me know and email me the content and I can push it up there pretty easily. We have to use WebDAV to upload any files... Please let me know if you have any ideas or questions - Thanks... I agree with Don - let's get the static up first and then get something more complex... I am waiting on the pm.org folks to switch the DNS for the website at this point. Once that happens we can easily upload anything (that is anything static) we want using a WebDAV client (MS Webfolders, cadaver, etc...)
