I would be interested in having someone give a short presentation on the 
various ways to represent and retrieve constants.

I have a website were there are couple of dozen constants such as
if the software should run in production or test, the path to some data 
directories, data base name and other stuff that should not be hard 
coded, that each module needs to access.

I've briefly looked at some code that uses EXPORT stuff etc and was 
wondering what the "Pro's" would advise and recommend.

I've also implemented a module with sub's that return the constant, ie
get_dbname (), etc.
